    Spongy Wonder Saddle

Has anyone ridden with a Spongy Wonder saddle (noseless) on their road bike?

I saw someone with this saddle on her hybrid riding the bike trail the other day and she was raving about it. I'm just wondering how well it works on a road bike. Maybe a road biker needs the nose of the saddle to rest against?

I'm highly suspicious of *any* noseless saddle... most of the steering of a bicycle is done with your legs and core, not with your arms and handlebars. With no saddle nose to grip or push against it would seem that steering would be difficult at best. I suppose you could get away with a noseless saddle if you were only riding very slowly, perhaps on a very stable bike with wide tires. I wouldn't want to try to one on a road bike though.

I agree with you that steering and momentum does come from pushing off the nose of a saddle, that's why I'm somewhat doubtful about a noseless saddle's effectiveness on a road bike.

    Thanks for your input.
