    I Got It!!!!!

Hey TE Family. I got my bike today. I was a sucker in the store today, but other than that, my experience was great. I paid way too much for all my accessories. I just couldn't stop smiling once I completed my test ride. I was hooked, and the salesperson knew it. I don't think they intentionally looked to take advantage of me, but I was just so excited, I couldn't stop. Hey you live only once, and every once in a while, we have to figure; I'm worth it, like I did today.

I got the 2010 Trek 2.1 WSD in Black Lava. I'm calling her the Black Mamba. I have already riden 5 miles tonight. My son asked to come riding with me, and I had to tell him, tomorrow baby. This is mommy's first night with her "new baby" and I really want to enjoy this moment just for me. It was awesome. I have a trail outside my building which is crammed with exercisers of all types. This runner thought he could take me, and I just put on the speed. That felt super. I'm hooked already. Thanks for all the tips. I feel I made a solid choice based of all the feedback and advice I received here.

    Thanks Thanks Thanks.

Congrats on your new bike, Regina!!! You're right- you only live once and sometimes it's fun to just have a blast and enjoy the ride (literally and figuratively).

Gorgeous. I'm always jealous of people that manage to name their bikes right away too.

    I still haven't named mine.

Congratulations Regina! I know how you feel, I spent a bunch of $$ on my bike and accessories last month. But I wanted to ride it the next day, so I got everything I needed to make that possible....spare tubes, lights, extra bottle cage, computer, etc. I bought all that without batting an eye and rode my baby the next morning. It was great!!! And have been riding steady since then.

    Yes, we are worth it!!!
