Cool - good for you!
Ordered my shoes and clipless pedals a couple days ago and they should be here anytime now. I hope my transition is as relatively seamless as yours!![]()

Hello Ladies,
So, this past friday my BF and I went to buy me clipless pedals. Originally I was going to buy Zeros, but ended up getting X2. The LBS guy put me up on the trainer, set them up , and off I went. On saturday I went for my first ride yeyeeeee! Although I was pretty scared in the beginning, as soon as I got on the bike I got more comfortable with them. Of course I had my first fall tooand was pretty happy to get over it. Nothing serious, just few scratches and a little road rash on my knee. I must say I love the pedals, as I was practicing spinning technique, I could already feel the difference. My speed got much better too. Thank you all for recommending them to me, enjoy your rides.

Welcome to the "yup I fell while clipped in" club!! and aren't they fun??......I see ppl riding on platforms or with toe cages and I think "gee.....get some clipless...you''lll Thank me for it"!! LOL
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
I was so happy to get over the fear of falling that when I did I felt a great relief.
Yeah, definitely true -- and they make such a big difference to your ride that it's worth joining the club!Originally Posted by FreshNewbie
