I sun burnt my back today! We decided to ride Mt Diablo this morning. It was suppose to be a bit cold and blustery on the mountain so I wore a full length bra top and a long sleeve wool jersey and full length tights. Less than two miles into the climb I was totally overheated, so I took off my jersey and stuffed it into my bag along with my jacket fro the descent. It was bit warmer than predicted that's for sure.

The climb took us right around two hours and I didn't put my jersey back on until the summit parking lot. My back is crispy! Geez if I'm going to get a sun burn in February I should be in Hawaii or something!

I'm trying to imagine the conditions that would allow me to get burned in MI in Feb. and the only scenario I can envision involves a tanning bed.

Lucky duck...man, that sounds like such a great day!

I can imagine, because I am on the other side of Mt. Diablo. I took my dog for a walk this morning and I was roasting in my sweatshirt.

How fun! I wish I was strong enough to ride up a mountain.

Oh owie! I agree with you 100%. I got a sunburn on my face yesterday not thinking that I would burn my darn face. Whoops.
