Cycling to try bike share bikes: make sense?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Netherlands Consulate General has issued a free public invitation pre-Olympics for people to try out their 400 Dutch bikes that part of their demo bike share system. It's for public use during the Olympics. THe Dutch want to heavily promote their country's committment to cycling.

So figured we might end up biking our own bikes, park our bikes and then have to join up the public bike share group ride and ride the Dutch bikes.

Does that make sense to you?

Sure why not. "Serious cyclist would rather ride Dutch bike instead of their own." What a great ad it would make for them.

    http://gobike.ning.com/events/vancouver-gogreen-godutch Since it's a free event in 2 wks.

This fleet of bikes is visiting Toronto in May 2010. Heavy promotion by the Dutch as bike-oriented country.
