Brooks Honey Gold Softer than Black?

An ebay seller makes the claim that honey saddles are softer than black ones.
    Really? You think so?

I have never heard that. If it were true I'd think Brooks would mention it.
My honey Brooks' seem pretty hard to me! (but I love them)

no i don't think so either. there is some variability in the leather, so maybe the guy had a brooks honey that broke in faster.

I did think both my green Finesse saddles were much easier to break in than my black Finesse.
