    Got my first road bike!!

You all have been so great with all my questions. Well I did it!! I was just saving my money for a Gaint Defy but my husband kept watching Craigslist and today we found an 07 Giant TCR. It's pristine, came with aerobars, a velo 8 computer, clipless pedals and cleats.

Just took my first ride ~ didn't realize how out of shape I'd gotten over the last month. Need to do some seat adjusting, but otherwise felt really good. Will take a little time to get used to the drop handlebars ~ but I'm loving it.

The only thing that isn't original is the seat, and seat post. It now has an aluminum seat post and a bontrager seat, which I'm not sure I'm in love with. I'll play around with the height a little bit and see if the seat's going to work.

So YAY!! Now I great incentive to work toward my centuries this spring!!

Here's a picture of the bike ~ not my bike, but same model.

Congratulations! I am VERY happy for you. You won't be sorry.

BTW I see you're in KS. I was from KS before I moved to MI - born and raised there. I was born in Lawrence and that's where most of my family is, then moved to a tiny little town called White City, went to college in Manhattan, then moved to MI.

Too bad I wasn't into cycling when I was there.

thanks!! Yeah we're down SW of Wichita, almost to the OK border (10 miles away). We live out in the middle of nowhere so there's plenty of road to ride.
