    Pearl Izumi Women's Barrier Jacket

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I bought this with intentions of wearing it for winter commuting and I wore it a couple of times with a longsleeve baselayer under it. It was great except that it seems I have shrunk since I bought it. This one is an XL it's in like new condition, I haven't washed it because it's still clean. I just did a couple of short cold rides in it and realized the breeze was coming from the fact that it wasn't fitting tight enough. It really is a great jacket and extremely warm, I'm asking $40 for it. I will ship it for however much UPS changes. I can add an 'actual' pic later I just don't have my camera right now.

Review--I own one of these. It's a great jacket! The one I have (and I'm guessing this one does, too) has reflective insets on the front and back of the shoulders, and down the sleeves, making it perfect for cold weather, dark commutes. It's toasty warm and windproof. Like all PI, the cut is a bit on the boxy side.

If you don't mind me asking...what is your approximate height/weight? Just trying to get a "gauge" on if it would fit me. I'm 5'6", and roughly 150lbs (on a good day).

I'm 5'8 and 150 and I'm the curvy type (i.e. got hips). Hope that helps.

And yes this jacket has the reflectors on the back of the shoulders too. It lights up like a Christmas Tree at night, I'm told, so you will definitely be seen! My boyfriend drove up behind me while I was wearing it home on my commute one night and he was surprised at how bright the reflectors were.
