Funny feet?

So finally get all my other health problems controlled with regular medication, then I get this problem with my feet!

Been there for at least 6 months, in both feet. Initially I thought it was the inner sole in my shoes that was rucked up but it wasn't. My toes feel like they have gloves on, in fact both feet feel they have tight socks on???

It was only just my toes and soles but now the feeling is up to my ankles.

There is never any pain, just a very strange numb tight feeling 24/7.

So, back to the Doctor.

You might be diabetic - NO
You might be deficient in vitamin B12 - NO
You could have peripheral neuropathy!!!! Ummm what?

So then off to the hospital to the Dept of Clinical Neurophysiology to have Nerve Conduction/Electromyography on my feet.

That was fun watching my feet and toes twitching about with the electrodes, until she stuck a needle in a muscle.

So, now I wait to hear what the Doctor's report says.

I know it sounds daft but I suppose what worries me is the way it is slowly creeping up my foot into my leg, I wonder where it will stop?

So, anybody else got funny feet?

Hmm. I don't know that I have what you do...but I do have funny feet!

I get some pain in my feet....but lots of numbness like when you have been sitting on your foot for a long time and it "falls asleep."

Starts in my toes, ball of my foot, and then works out.

Turns out I had neuromas in both of my feet (angry, pinched nerves).

I think peripheral neuropathy just means that your feet feel funny.

I hope they feel better soon.

Cheers Oakleaf, it was exciting reading something from the New York Times, for little ol' me over here in England. Thanks for taking the time to include the link.

It was of help, at least I now understand it is the sensory nerves that are perhaps the ones causing the problem.

Not much has changed, I still feel like I am wearing rucked up socks all the time and my feet do not like stepping into a hot bath, they seem to be ultra sensitive.

However, in the big picture, nothing I cannot live with.
