ummmm - what's your price range and requirements?
There are lots of bikes for sale, but I'm guessing you are having a hard time finding the right one.

Does anyone know of a 50-52cm road bike for sale? I'm beginning to think I will never find a bike.

Yep...I'm just having a hard time finding the right one. I've looked on ebay, but none stand out to me and I'm hesitant to bid on something i'm not sure of. My price max is about $800, but if I find the perfect bike for $1000, I might have to choke out an extra $200. I'm in grad school, so I'm pretty much poor...lol. However, I don't want to go to a shop and buy a brand new bike with a low-end component group for $1500 only to have to upgrade later. And, I'm glad I found this forum...just wish I had a bike to talk about.
oh...my requirements:
I want to train for a year and then plan to join a team next year and do some racing. I don't intend to go pro or anything that serious...but I do want to compete. So...
I think I'd prefer aluminum with Shimano 105 or Chorus or something in that range. I like Cannondale, Specialized, and Bianchi mostly. Hmmm...what else? I'll have to add more later, i'm in the middle of studying neurology. oh how fun
however, I'm definitely open to suggestions...thanks!

105 and chorus are 2 completely different levels, for 1000 you'd probably be looking at mirage or veloce with campy. there also is a lot to take into consideration aside from what the brands look like. for instance, bianchi tends to run longer in the top tubes than the spcialized womens bikes. if you have a short torso the bianchis may not work for you. how tall are you? what is your inseam? 50-52 is a huge range.
I am riding a 50 cm Trek 2.1 with Shimano 105. I got mine for $1250 not including the oodles of accessories I just HAD to get as well (first road bike!).
Good luck finding what you're looking for! I'm sure I could have gotten a better price for what I wanted in my first road bike, but my 2.1 was a birthday present to myself and I can't complain - I went on a 20 mile ride today for my birthday, and I couldn't be happier with it until I get a better saddle.![]()
