Poker Run - What to Wear?

Oh, yes, that's right. Another what to wear thread.

I'm participating in a poker run this weekend. It's billed as a leisurely ten mile ride with at least five stops in bars to pick up cards. Now, I normally have no qualms about wearing my lycra for any ride, but I'm afraid that it might be overkill for a poker run. Should I wear my "civvies" instead?

    Thoughts?

Bike skirt over your riding shorts?

Are you riding road bikes or townies? As in define "leisurely" pace? Did the ride coordinator define it? If it's a slow pace, why bother wearing lycra unless you really think you'll be sweating up a storm (hot muggy weather).

Tank top, bike shorts, bike skirt?

At the poker runs my father organizes, folks wear mostly leather and denim.

But that's a different type of biking
"How about if we all just try to follow these very simple rules of the road? Drive like the person ahead on the bike is your son/daughter. Ride like the cars are ambulances carrying your loved ones to the emergency room. This should cover everything, unless you are a complete sociopath."

I only have a roadie. Don't have a bike skirt, but have a wrap I could use. But I don't really know about wearing a skirt on a bike with a regular (men's) top tube. I wear the lycra shorts and jersey mainly for comfort. I'll take a look at what else I can toss on. So it sounds like you'd recommend civvies or civvie-ish clothes as much as possible. Check.

Hmm, yes depending on weather, I often wear loose capris over my bike shorts or, just recently bought a pair of Zoic capris with padded liner. I've also worn cycling skorts.

Just feels more comfortable to me these days to wear more than just bike shorts.
