Whoa, whoa, this is a good thing. Go back in person, tell him how you fallen in love with biking and have found the perfect bike (it just doesn't happen to be from his bike store), tell him you feel guilty and promise to come back and buy doodads. If he's anything of a bike guy he'll be happy, and you'll have a good time
