    And it was very nice!

A kind soul took pity on my slow butt... and put a hand on my back... and pushed me up the hills. He told me I didn't need to pedal... but I did... well, MOST of the time! HA!

On the MS 150, two of the ride marshals did that for me - sling shot'd me up that last huge hill before the lunch stop between the two of them.
I was so grateful I nearly cried....

there are some sweethearts out there!

I was on the railtrail, yesterday, just sort of plodding along at 14 mph, when this perfectly outfitted young thing sails by me--gives me a quick wave (a courtesy, I'm sure!) and off he goes. I sort of picked up my speed a bit but there was no way I could catch him if I tried. Just as I was giving up, this really sweet guy pulls up beside me and asks if I was trying to catch/ride with the guy that had passed me. I smiled ,said "no, but wouldn't mind catching him to prove that a girl could keep up with him". This little twinkle came in his eyes and he says "we'll catch him-tuck in behind me". I drafted this guy for 2 miles at 25 mph! Caught the kid, whipped by him, like he was standing still! Loved it! Have no idea who my rescuer was but if I ever see him again...big kisses!!

My partner has pushed me up the hill just before we reach home a couple of times... its about 11% grade...
I was so grateful too - it meant I didn't have to get off and rest, half way up,(or, as when I first tried, getting off and walking)
When he gave me a push, I viewed it as no more than drafting
Drafting enables me to go faster than I can on my own
Getting a push helped me to climb all the way up that bit of hill WITHOUT getting off... a HUGE psycological boost

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
