My adult daughter just got this bike last week. It is sure a pretty one and the price seems pretty good too. so far she is very happy with it. She is 5'4" and got the 51cm size. She says that even the saddle is comfortable for her. Thw bike shop that put it together for her thought she got a good deal on it. http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/gigi.htm

Purrr-dy! She might need the pink Schalbe Stelvio tires someday (on TE's site). I saw them last week and I'm absolutely positive they'll make her go faster.

That is VERY nice!!!! Really beautiful!!!! Is your daughter going to ride or race? what are her plans?

I am eyeing a specialized - turquoise dolce - for my daughter. She is 17, she rides an old beat up commuter and SAYS she doesnt want to race, but I know she would if I got her a better bike and some gear. She just has that competitive streak in her. She is 5'10" tho so I am not sure a womens bike will be big enough - she is mostly leg however! Mostly I just want her to ride with ME!

Unfortunately, those tires only come in 700C size - not 650s, which the 51cm size of that bike is. I'd have them on my Aegis otherwise!

Darn! I already complained to the Schwalbe rep (Clay) that they didn't come in 700x25. Hmm. Let me see if I can find his card and we can send a mass email complaint. That explains why the Velo Bella girls weren't all using pink tires.

My daughter is a marathon runner and an adventure racer. Her new pink bike is her first road bike. She plans to ride the DALMAC with her husband in late Auguest. Distances of up to 100 miles a day for a four or five day supported ride. I had hoped to ride with them this year but, darn, hubby and I have planned an Alaskan cruise for that same week! Maybe next year. She has been letting me train with her a bit. We make a pretty pair. Her with her new pink bike, and me on my new (purchased in April of this year) Celeste (aqua) Bianchi.

woohooo.. that's a pretty bike and looks to be a good price... congrats on the new baby!!!

pink tires huh? sheesh... now I gotta go look for those too...

I have the breast cancer saddle... it was cheaper to order online thru Terry than to purchase at the LBS! AND for a good cause...
