    My new bike

First and foremost, I blame all of you. The idea of a stable of bikes would never have occurred to me without all of you!

I wanted to get a bike that I could ride on some places around here and around Pittsburgh where it would be a bit foolish to ride my road bike. But mostly, I wanted to be able to ride over to the grocery store/Target/Michael's which is a mile away and where I seem to go 3-4 times a week. What a waste of gas. I figured it would be much better for the environment, not to mention tubby me, if I rode a bike for those trips where I need to go, but I'm not buying 10 bags of things. I test rode 4 bikes on Thursday, went back today and rode the one I liked the most. This prompted the folks at the bike store to laugh, as apparently they were discussing which one I was most likely to buy. I didn't disappoint them. It's a Kona Dew Plus. My niece and I joked that I really got it because it is kind of named after my favorite drink.

    Congrats on:

    1. the bike. Beautimous!!! Sexy, sturdy, reliable- all qualities I love.

    2. buying a bike for errands. So cool to ride to places very close. Your body AND the environment will love you forever because of your purchase.

    3. your growing stable. Yes, these ladies (and gents) are the "debil" when it comes to talking us into more bikes. Thankfully my stable is down from 7 to 4, but if my DH wouldn't kill me- it would probably be back up to 7.

Awesome purchase! I hope you have lots of fun running around together.
