Words about new members

I appreciate new TE members who describe themselves abit. Though this thread is long, it's of passing interest. I look at it just to see the range of members in terms of geography, age range and level of cycling interest.

Of course proof of real pudding is jumping into the discussion to share cycling passion. I also like it how we sort of police it in a way with the help of administrator(s), the reality that some of us do know each other personally face to face, etc. Sorry to use the word "police", but the world is not always full of pretty people.

I didn't realize the "Getting to know you" sticky was for new member introductions, and I do read forums before posting. I'm fairly certain there's nothing about introductions in the FAQ.

Miscreants are perfectly capable of creating a phony introduction anyway, so an intro post won't really protect you from anything.
