So this weekend I want to buy a jersey, shorts (possible padded) , backpack, and possible other stuff. Are there any bike stores in DC/MD/VA area besides REI?

    Thank you

There's revolution cycles that has a few stores around the dc area. There's also proteus in college park. Performance Bicycle has several shops in the area as well.

Take that Wilson Bridge bike path to Old Town Alexandria and check out Big Wheel Bikes down by the Torpedo Factory. They don't have a huge selection of clothes, but they do have some. I've bought shorts there.

If you're looking for bike gear, LL Bean's probably not worth the trip. Especially not with all of the construction going on around Tyson's Corner.

There are many, many bike shops in this area that carry a wide assortment of quality gear and most of them have websites. If you google "bicycle shops" and your town in MD (or whatever town you feel like cycling/walking/driving to), you'll get a list to use as a starting point. That's how I found the places where I get all my gear.

Nothing is worth going to Tyson's Corner for! There are plenty of places closer to you, including REI in College Park. Why is REI off your list?

I think I'm just gonna go REI and some other store in Springfield!
