Has anybody done this metric century in Pullman? Will anyone be there?

I'm trying to see if this will be good for my first ride. I may not be good for the full century by then, so I may just do the half.

Apparently it's hilly? I haven't been down to Pullman in years. I'm probably going by myself, if I can't get my stepdad to go.

Found it on map my ride: http://www.mapmyride.com/ride/united...lman/719929925

Definitely not flat, some downs and some ups (I guess that's to be expected down in the Palouse). Interesting route - Pullman to Colfax (the long way) to Palouse to Pullman. If the weather is nice it would surely be scenic! What day is it?

It's August 22nd. I'm trying to pick 2-3 rides to do this year. My choices are :

Tour de Lentil (Pullman), Tour de Coeur (CDA), Spokefest (Spokane), Manastash metric (Ellensburg), Blue Cruise (CDA), and the Great Northwest Fall Tour (Newport).

I would like to do the 8 Lakes Leg Aches but I'm on vacation then.

I'm also looking for ones on Sundays, because my husband works on Saturdays. So he can be home with the kiddos.

    Thanks for the map!

My two cents for local rides . . . Eight Lakes is great, plan on it for next year, Great Northwest Fall Tour is good, I would skip Spokefest if your coming from far away. One you didn't mention is Tour des Lac. It starts in Spokane, you have options on different routes to Couer d'Alene, and then back to Spokane the next day. It also includes a boat ride up to CdA. It's a really fun ride.

I think this link will get you more information.

Another one I just thought of, Loreen Miller Ride. Check it out at www.cancerpatientcare.org. This ride is almost in my backyard so I can tell you everything you need to know about the route.

Let me know if you need any information on Spokane area rides. bikerHen

    I'm in Coeur d'Alene.

I'd like to do the Loreen Miller, and I plan on doing it next year, but I just don't think I have enough time. I don't get my bike from the LBS for a little while yet, and I'd like to get some miles on that first.

Also, multi day rides are hard on me because I have two young kids at home. Is the Tour de Lacs one day or two?

Any help on local stuff is appreciated. I'm just getting into this stuff, and I can't find a club in CDA.

Tour des Lac is a two day ride.

We ride the CdA trail and Cenntenial trail alot. Anytime you want to ride just let me know. I have to work on Saturday, so Sunday is my day for longer rides. Check out my clubs website at www.wowcycling.com. Maybe you can do some rides with the club. We will be planning a ride on the Hiawatha trail later this summer. If you want to try the 8 Lake route we ride the 50 mile route from time to time. bikerHen

(I had a username change, this is Shivonick)

I would love to! I have never gone in a group before, so I don't know what to do really, but I'd love to try.

Sunday is my day too, as my husband works Saturday and it's just me and the kids.
