Adding another computer to my dsl/router

Computer whizzes.

I have a computer hooked up to my internet provider, I want to hook up another computer to it, what do I do? So yes I want to hook up 2 at a time.

I got the POP address and the SMTP or SMPT or whatever it is. This other computer was previously on an earthlink system and can still be pulled up, so at least it is getting old e-mails, but can't answer e-mails.

So your main computer is that a desktop or a laptop?

Is it on a standard modem or do you have a wireless gateway (Like 2 wire) modem or do you have a router that can hook up to the standard modem?

the 2nd computer is that a desktop or laptop? If a desktop is it wireless capable? If a laptop then it likely is.

Paper or plastic?

Do you walk to school or take your lunch?
