Did my fourth (and last!) 9 mile run this morning. I really realy wanted some more sleep, but I dragged myself out of bed and was out the door at 5:15. Today was my first experiment with taking in calories twice during the run, instead of only once. I had 100 calories at 35 minutes and then another at 1:15. Total run was 1:40. I finished feeling pretty good, which is hopefully a good sign that the extra calories helped.
Next week I move to 10 miles for my long run, and will definitely be taking in calories twice from now on.
I'm still suffering from some gastrointestinal issues on my run. Have an appt with my doctor tomorrow to talk about it. Not sure there's anything to be done, but it can't hurt to ask.
