Schools out for summer!

So, its the second to last day of school for my kiddos. DS had a graduation ceremony for his 6th grade class today which included a very nice slide show and then all the teachers make an arch and kids walk through and are given a sash. Very sentimental and I was very proud of myself for not crying.

Then I went onto the Junior High school to volunteer at DD's school carnival which ended with one of the 9th grade boys stripping down to nothing but his sneakers and a big smile and streaking through campus. What a way to end the school year and a very proud moment for his parents (NOT!). Just glad I was lucky enough to miss him in all of his glory!!!

So here starts the season of "I'm bored.....". Since I am currently unemployed, I'm actually hoping to be able to do some cool stuff with my kids this summer.

Anyone else have fun plans for summer break?
