    Michigan West Shore/Zoo-de-Mac Report

I had hoped to do the Zoo-de-Mac ride in Michigan on Saturday while I was in town for work. However, my schedule changed--so I decided to ride the route the day before. The weather was perfect--65 degrees, clear and calm. (It was 55, raining and gusting to 35 the next day). Signs were already up for the route, which made it less stressful. This was also my first SOLO. I ride by myself often, but tend to do road and/or long routes with family or hubby.

Thanks to the League of Michigan cyclists, Zoo-de-Mac organizers, and MotionBased for all the info.

    I'm not jealous. Really!
What makes you think I'm jealous? The beautiful day and the great location? Yeah, well...

It was a blast to be in town as people arrived on Friday. Every SINGLE vehicle had at least 2 bikes on the back. (And I was happy to see I wasn't the only one who snuck their "baby" into their room.) My favorite was a pickup with a camper shell, pulling a car with 2 bikes on top. They pulled into Mackinaw, unhooked the car and drove off towards Harbor Springs. I was jealous

Congrats for ride and great photos! What was the distance of the ride?

Glad that the weather stayed decent for you. Always helps alot for a long solo ride!

45 miles--I cheated and started north of town. The Zoo is 50.
