    Great article! I know I absolutely cannot do long rides without sports drinks, gels, carbs and I have found that to be true no matter how much I try to carb up in advance. I guess I can save the calories for the ride!

    Also explains why my DBF can do a mid-length ride with just water when I know I would just be useless after 30 miles.
    For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
