Our 9 year old Sears dryer decided to stop drying. Thank goodness we have a clothes line. Since repair will cost about 50% of the cost of a new one, we're going with new.
We don't need bells and whistles and don't want to spend a fortune; just a basic gas dryer with a decent capacity (sometimes wash quilts and fluff up comforters), ability to handle gentle/delicate type clothing and a cool down or wrinkle guard feature. It does need to be stackable and we could care less how it looks as it is hidden in the utility room. I am thinking of the GE nerel or profile dryer and they seem well-reviewed. Thoughts, opinions?
