hi all! Relatively new to the long distance cycling world but luv me new bike. Would love to join a club or at least have a few people to go for nice long spins with. Anyone know of anything around the South Dublin side...Kimmage area.

Am I correct that you are in Dublin, Ireland, as opposed to a Dublin somewhere else?

If so, I might know someone who would know of clubs in your area.

I got this from my friend in Dublin:

I started cycling with Orwell Wheelers out of Dundrum this past fall (http://www.orwellwheelers.org/). They are mostly men but have a good number of women. The main organized spins are just ending as racing season has started, but there are women's spins that go on Saturday, training in Phoenix Park on Tuesday evenings, and a contact list of women in case you want to organize your own spins. For those, contact Aideen at the address on the website. There is also a group training for the Wicklow 200 and similar events that goes on Saturdays and may also start on Sundays. They're mostly Orwell members but it is open to anyone. I can give you the coordinator's email.

    Other groups:
boards.ie organize spins online most weekends. They are mostly men but some women.

Bray Wheelers seems to have a lot of women, and a nice clubhouse, but start in Bray and I know nothing about them.

Sorrento are another south side cycling club that may cycle out of Kilmacanogue or somewhere closer

There is also a women's commission of Cycling Ireland at womenscycling.ie

    Just sent you a PM.

I hope you have better weather this weekend than the chilly rain we're expecting here.
