Nope, that screw is tension. Float on those pedals is determined by which cleat you choose (I think there are two different ones).

Help! I just switched out my pedals from Looks to Ultegra SPD-SL (PD-6610). I can't figure out if there's a tension adjustment (there is a screw with a + -) on it but I think it's for float (but I don't really know) because it does not seem to have any affect on the tension
If you have any insight, I would be very grateful![]()

Okay, then I will just leave it at the lowest tension setting. I can't imagine anyone wanting MORE tension but I'll have to test them out on hills, etc and see how it goes
The tension is not that different from the LOOKs I was previously using so I think it will be okay
Thanks for reminding me--now I remember trying to find the right cleats for these pedals last year
Thank you for your help!![]()

I have those pedals... I also set them to the loosest tension when I first got them and was finding clipping out awkward, and while I no longer find it awkward or difficult, I've really had no reason to increase the tension. I guess I'm not enough of an animal to be pulling out of my pedals.
They break in a little bit too.
I bought them used so I think this is as good as they're going to get. I took them out yesterday and everything went surprisingly well![]()
