Hey I did my first ITT today. I didn't do as well as I had hoped. Ok as well as I dreamed I would but, it was the fastest time and average ever over that course. I look foreward to next year and beating my time.

    Well done, CR
TT is what I want to do too

So, you set a record over the course? Did you win your category then?

What distance was it - we have 20km, 25km and 40km ones here, dependant on your category based on age...

Sorry, I just reread my original post. I didn't set a course record, I beat all my personal records for that course. I wish I could have won or placed in my age group, but they average above 23mph to place. Plus regular race bikes get stomped by the all decked out time trial bikes.

congrats on beating your own personal record! what an accomplishment! and it sounds like you had fun! and "look forward to next year?" do they only hold the TT once a year??
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

Setting your own personal best is nothing to be sniffed at - its what all racers try and do - any thing else is a bonus
But beating yourself is such a great feeling
    Excellent
    Feel proud!
