Portland Area Ride recommendations?

Hi Portland TE'ers,

Looking for a ride recommendation -- DH is playing golf at Pumpkin Ridge on Thursday -- I understand there's a beautiful hill right there -- but I'm hoping to find something not too strenuous to occupy my time while he's playing. My asthma has flared up over the winter, so I have to be careful not to try to do too much too soon until my meds work their magic.

So I'm thinking, something in the neighborhood of 20-25 miles, that I can complete in about 3 hours. Prefering long, shallow climbs over steep slopes of any length.

On the other hand, if it turns out to be cold and rainy I may just stay in town and read a book.

Would appreciate any recommendations you might have -- thanks!

I would PM Susan Otcenas...she knows that area well and could probably recommend a good ride. My DH and I actually just rode up that way on Sunday, but I don't do it often enough to be able to offer a route without potentially getting you lost!

If I didn't have to work, I'd offer to go with you! It's a lovely area in which to ride.
