my first mountain bike! I can't wait to get out there and get dirty. The birthday is coming up and mama is coming through for me. I've decided on the Cannondale F4, I am stuck on color though...white or black?!!?!?

GREAT!!! I guess that might be better on the type of trail you just rode.

I am not familar with a Cannondale mtn bike, but yes, white or black is a tough decision

Let us know what you decide.

Congrats! Both will get equally dirty . I have a white/black BMC that takes some extra cleaning power...

I seriously can't decide. I could stick with the trend of white bikes (R3 and CAAD9) that I don't keep clean, or go with black that will hide it better...lol. My bigger concern is that scratches will show up more on white than on the matte black. I'm kind of ready to just tell George to order it and surprise me. I can't make up my mind.

Black doesn't stay any cleaner than white, and my matte black Canny was a pain to keep clean. It water-spotted after a bath, which never looked nice. Matte is cool-looking, but gloss is easier to polish up.

    IMO, get the white.
