What an awesome weekend here in NW. Weather has finally started looking more like spring after our lowland snow fall Friday morning. DH and I spent weekend trying to repair the lawn and assess the damage done to the plants from the winter snow. Even dug out my shorts on Sunday and bared my pastey white winter legs.

Sunday we took a beautiful ride in 70 degree weather. Got to try out my new sidi shoes DH had bought me and love them (I have had the same shoes since 2000, so it was time for an upgrade) . We had also upgraded our tires to the Vittoria Corsa and they are awesome. Never knew tires could make that much difference in a ride. About 14 miles into ride, my front tube blew causing the tire off the rim and completely stopping my front wheel. Luckily I was at a stoplight when it blew. Scared the you know what out of me and I was really thankful I was not rolling when it happened. We had pinched the tube when we installed tire. That is the only downfall of these tires is they are a bear to install for first time (a two person job). Hope this weather sticks around for a while so we can make up for all the lost outdoor training time on the bike this year!!!
