Oh ouch! I hope he's getting lots of TLC.

Sounds like your vacation(s) won't come too soon. I can think of no better way to recover than parking in a chair in a nice place and being waited on by a cabana boy (though Thom would prefer a cabana girl)!

Except we weren't planning on being waited on. In 5 weeks we're supposed to be biking the Umpqua River Trail. I suspect he may not be healed by then.

But hey, there's always France.

Brian grew up on the Umpqua River. I've run on that trail many times. It's really beautiful...take lots o' provisions and if you have time have a meal at the Steamboat Inn. Yum! If Thom can't ride he can hang out at the inn...great library, nice cabins on the river...
