Anyone seen or heard from Pardes lately? One of her bikes came in for service at the shop where I work, and it's been there for awhile now. The shop staff are all beginning to wonder....

I was wondering about her, too. She hasn't posted in a long time. I tried bumping her last thread a few weeks ago to see if she would respond, but she didn't. I hope she's okay!

Her last blog posts were around Jan 21-25th. I can't say that I really watched her blog, so I don't know how regularly she normally posts.

Me too. I'm hoping that someone here routinely corresponds with her by email or PM and knows something....

If you view her profile page, it has that she was on the forums on Feb. 13th. Let us know if you hear anything.

Wow, that's kind of spooky. Dropping off the forum happens all the time; I'm off and on it myself; sometimes posting incessantly, other times, don't get to visit for a week or two or even a month or more. But leaving her bike at a shop for a longer than normal time when she was such a regular rider...that worries me.

Please let us know if she picks it up!

Last time I noticed she had disappeared for a while (back in Oct or Nov) I pm'd her just to see if she was okay. She wrote back that she had been really busy with work.

I just sent her another pm to see if all is well.

I find it strange that the shop can't contact her. Don't you normally take addresses or phone numbers from people who leave bikes? They just drop in and leave them with no contact info? Asking us here, about contacting someone who is doing business with you seems a little "un" businesslike.

No one has been able to reach her by phone. If we had, I wouldn't be posting any of this. I'm not posting as a representative of my shop- I'm posting as a concerned individual. She's a valued, well-liked member of this community, and I'm reaching out to others here to make sure that she's ok.

Please don't mis-interpret my intentions as commercial or financially-motivated in any way(I can't believe that I even have to say that!).

Becky - not for one minute did I think you were commercially motivated. I've read your posts and know that's not you.

From your original post I had the impression that your shop was just waiting for someone to come in and get it. You didn't say that you had tried to contact her. Even Aggie asked why you didn't call. I had this image of someone finding the bike and everyone standing around scratching their heads. Wondering what to do. Made me wonder about the overall business atmosphere there.

Can't you call where she works? There can't be too many of those places around there and the entrance sign has been in her videos.
