    Skateboarders-sharing hilly roads

Twice this weekend, once per day I shared on bike, a hilly road descent with a skateboarder. The road was just an average width for 1 car with lane in each direction. No need for a marked bike lane or anything.

But it is disconcerting to descend down on bike a long moderately steep raod that winds abit with a skateboarder swishing about downhill also..while cars are chugging up the hill next door and there are also cyclists go up the hill also. So therefore oncoming car next door is trying to go past the panting cyclist uphill, while I go downhill with skateboarder speeding down ahead.

I'm impressed by some of the skateboarding skills in our city but with our long hills that sometimes hit into busy streets, one seriously wonders..

Not surprisingly, the said skateboarding road downhillers were not wearing helmets. How do they do this? After I heard from my sister-doctor who had a patient in emergency services with a chunk of his skateboard in his body somewhere... makes one shudder.
