    Basil Panniers

Hi all - found a thread on here about Basil Panniers and wanted to ask some questions. I'm looking for something that handle a short commute as well as the occasional overnight touring trip - I would need to carry clothes and shoes for 2 people - but it would be overnight during the summer - so not a lot of clothes. Would these work?

I have Basil Panniers on my old schwinn cruiser that gets loaded up with groceries and farmers mkt stuff. Mine have held up well but it's only 10 blocks away, once a week. I would say there's plenty of room for 2 prs of shoes and a couple changes of lightweight clothing.

this is what I have http://www.niagaracycle.com/product_...ducts_id=21044

Which model are you looking at? I have one of the "blossoms" with handles that works great on or off the bike and is really nice, but would definitely be too small for an overnight trip. I'd rather take my "utility" panniers which are not as pretty but roomier.

But the model that jillm points to above is a lot bigger (and there are two panniers).

I'm looking at the one Jillm has but in pink. I can't seem to find those, though. I'll have to keep searching.

JillM came through and found them for me on eBay. I ordered them!
