    Grips or Bar Ends...Brooks????

I just got a new hybrid that I am making into my commuter/just ride for fun bike, and I am wanting to change out two things. I am trying to determine what would be the best way to go, so I thought I'd ask for your experiences!

Okay, I want to change the grips...I wasn't sure if I should change to Ergon Grips (have these on my MTB already...love em) or should I go for bar ends? Also, I really don't like how cushy my current saddle is on the hybrid, so I wanted to change it to a Brooks since I love the one on my road bike. I have a B17 on my road bike, but I was wondering if I should go for the Champion Flyer Saddle that is similar to the B17 in size or the B68 that is wider. Is wider better for a commuter? HELP! TIA

Have your sit bones gotten wider? If not, stick with the saddle that you know fits your pelvic bones well.

Except that the pelvic bones have different widths at different distances from the pubic bone, and if she's sitting upright on the commuter and in a forward lean or tuck on the hybrid, she may very well want a different saddle...

Unfortunately I don't think there's ever anything to do about saddles but try it. But Pink, why not try the B17 you have on your commuter? I know it's kind of a PITA to take it off your road bike and all, but that's less of a PITA than trying and returning a saddle you don't like.

Some people like saddles w/springs on bikes that are more upright since more of your body weight is resting on your laurels...

See? That's why I wanted to ask you guys! It didn't even dawn on me to try my B17 on the hybrid to see if the fit was good for both...sheesh .

I was thinking about those Ergon grips as well, but wasn't sure if longer bar ends were better then the little guys. Maybe I'll get a pair at REI, and if I don't like them, returns will be easy. Thanks so much...this helped clear the cobwebs outta my brain!
