    I got my cats eye just under 2 years ago. I watched the odometer hit 1000 today. All those miles outside made me feel good, especially since I was in a 20mph headwind at the time.

    Ahh - this thread made me chuckle! I well remember when my new cateye clicked over 1000 (km in my case rather than miles, although it's probably done it in miles now too). It was about 1km later that I got my first flat tyre on that bike!

    Congrats on hitting 1K! I recall watching 1K flip over on my od too. I didn't even realize it was that close. I looked down just in time to see it happen. Something about seeing that triple didgit # just made me want to make it flip again.

    Congratulations to you. That is sucha neat feeling when it happens. Just think how you will feel when you hit 2000! Way to go.
