Question Terms that are used in a race

Some judges on a finish line have told " #84 has clipped #85" (##'s are not real --HIPPA). Can anybody explain what that mean? The race was a criterium if it is important.

Well, I am going to take a guess... when someone clips someone .... doesn't they mean that they *hit* them in some manner with their *vehicle*. Maybe one cyclists clipped the other one with his/her bike?

Or maybe they were just saying that the guy/gal got clipped into his/her pedals?

Yeah, I'm with KSH --- particularly in a Cri ... you would be very likely to touch someone elses shoulder or tap wheels ... I think this is what clipping would mean in this situation

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".
