    graduation present for BF sister...

so.... my boyfriend's sister and I are both graduating from college in 7 days!!!! The three of us when to the same university. My boyfriend and I are quite serious (the 'M' and 'E' words have been talked about, right now it's a matter of time of being back in the same city again.... his company is in a different town, and he should be able to move back within a year's time). but my question is what to get his sister for graduation. I have no clue!!! We aren't close, and have honestly never hung out. We are very different people (she's very high maintenance, social butterfly, etc). I want the present to be something thoughtful and unique, but I just don't know what... any suggestions???

PS... something to make you smile

Since you don't know her, I would keep it simple and not too wierd.

I've never given a graduation gift to anyone beyond a card for niece and nephew. Perhaps a gift card for a lunch at a restaurant or for a book. Your accompanying card could be more unique/inventive.

Do you know what she is doing after college? Does she already have a job? going on a lot of interviews? going to grad/law/med school?

I have gotten friends a nice portfolio from our university (great for interviews, and for jobs), maybe a nice pen set. if she really likes her university, something nice from the bookstore with the university seal is always fun. my schools always had some pretty nice glasses (beer, wine, mugs depending on your flavor).

Congratulations on your graduation as well!

thanks to those that have replied....

Sarah (the bf's sister) will be working at a really neat Sculpture center here in town. I ended up with buying a really unique photo of Dallas (where we go to school) and put it in a nice frame. Hope she likes it!
