    a success story....

    Hi y'all

As of last night, I've dropped from 182 lbs on Jan. 8, when I finally bought a scale, to 132 lbs. 50 lbs-- Hooray!! (I estimate I'd already lost 15-25 lbs since the previous summer before getting the scale). Where I am now, I feel that if I lose a little more, that'd be cool. If I don't, that'd be ok too... The real challenge will be to see if I can end 2009 still in the 130s!

Watching the numbers drop on the scale has been really neat, but I've especially enjoyed seeing muscle definition showing up in various body parts... The day I noticed I had abs was the most awesome... and so was realizing the Wal-Mart doesn't carry pants small enough for me anymore!

Any other success stories for 2008? And what landmarks along the way have been particularly meaningful?

Great job! That is quite a change for 1 year!

I've dropped down to 121 lbs this year. My size 6 pants barely cut it but I am sticking with them. I am most proud of the healthy diet I have stuck to and the fact that my husband has gone along with me to drop down to 171 lbs...together we have maintained a loss of over 30lbs just by working out and eating smart (and at home).
