wow, three and no training wheels! My son is five and still needs them. However, he just now got big enough to ride the gary fisher trail a bike I got off craigslist a year ago. He's tall enough now to reach the pedals. We hooked it to my hybrid and my husband rode, so I got to ride along and just watch him- knee and elbow pads, gloves, and helmet, trying to pedal right along with his dad. We went about 5 miles, and he loved it. He has a little 16" trek jet, but still needs training wheels for it.
