    Running again!

I'm posting this here because I've been posting my whining here...

I'm running again!! It's been over 4 months since I strained/tore my TFL. After 2 months of physical therapy I'm finally running. I started 2 weeks ago with 1 minute run/ 1 minute walk on the treadmill and last night I did 7 minutes on/ 1 minute off for 45 minutes WITHOUT PAIN! Today I'm a tiny bit sore, but not much. I'm not going to really push myself for a while. I'm trying not to be stupid. But I'm just SO happy that I can run again.

Yay! I'd go nuts not being able to run for that many months. I'm excited for you to be able to get back at it!

    Enjoy it!

Excellent! I know exactly how stir-crazy you must have been going...I have been doing the same with not being able to run due to IT band syndrome and then a few other things that have cropped up. Things are finally getting better and the PT gave me the OK to try a short run (she said not more than a mile) so I will probably do that later today. Hopefully all goes well...I did a short one Monday and the IT band didn't act up but the hamstring on that side felt tight and was a little uncomfortable.
