... It's definitely time to make the bicycle more festive.
I'm really not ready to put the tree up, though. I mean, at *least* let's get to the second week in November so Advent is on the horizon.
I still have a nice gourdy squash... just can't figure out what to do with ductape or zipties to make it work. I suppose I'll see if there are any yard sales happening this weekend that would have cheap & free dangly spanglies...
Fun!
I take the tinsel garland stuff (i.e. long "snakes" of tinsel) and wrap tight around the frame. You end up with a frame that looks like a giant sparkly pipe-cleaner! It is really fun!
Currently my bike has a broom attached!
Cornucopia? With fake vegetables?
How about carrying a turkey for the next couple of weeks?

Since DH and i ride through our local park and get home around dusk, we decided to decorate our bikes with battery-powered LED Christmas lights. We were going to put light up reindeer antlers in our bike helmets, but someone made her bike into a horse for a ride on another TE thread and made a great head on the front, so now we are thinking of making reindeer heads for the front of the bikes. We will be hauling my HUGE teddy bear dressed like Santa in our bike trailer which will also be lit up and dressed out with tinsel and jingle bells and lights. We have one neighborhood near the park that collects donations for Hospice every Christmas and people drive through very slowly, so we thought we would take our trailer and bikes through there this year. Just wanted to have some fun with our bikes and trailer. I will post pics when I get it all together.
