    There has to be some other form of transportation. Even a human powered paddle boat would not be ocean worthy IMHO.

    I would have liked to have seen the boat he used, too. I don't think it was one of the little paddle-boats people rent to tool about on ponds, but who knows, people have been known to do odd things.

    Here's a link to his blog post with a picture of the boat. He has a team apparently helping him. But he's in the US now, and well into Canada, I think, from just browsing the blog. The journey began before the blog, so I could find nothing aboutthe preparations, etc.
