I had a zero X about two years ago that I liked. It wore out very quickly, got flat and hard and the cutout narrowed. After many unsuccessful trials I ordered another one about a month ago, on sale. I got the one you are talking about, black with the checkerboard pattern. OMG! Totally different from the first, more padded, narrower cutout and YES stuck to it like glue. I put it on the trainer for about ten miles and although comfy, got numb and could not move around at all. Now you and I know why its on sale. The one I used before did smooth out but it was a more smooth fabric from the beginning with little circles on it. The new one went back to Terry. I am now using a Specialized Ruby and am so far very happy with it.

), put it on today and rode with it. I was wearing my Terry shorts and expected the saddle to reduce slippage since as you will see (hopefully) with the picture below the "new carbon check textured leather helps hold you solidly in place" - and let me tell you that's an understatement!!
