    Ooo...pretty!

I hope to have titanium bike porn one day, too. (I'm currently stalking a couple of bikes on eBay and Craigslist...so maybe that day will be soon. Heh.)

She's actually an Alaris, but they put 'cross chain & seat stays on her to make her tough enough to pull a trailer. Makes you wonder how much Alaris design is left, really...

Artemis because that's the Greek goddess of the hunt. The way I heard it, guy hunters were always after her but could never catch her.

    Can I play?

    an oldie but goodie:

This is singlespeed I built up out of an older Sandvig Titanium frame. It's from back when Pro Mongoose was a real bike. Total weight, #21. This bike is so much fun, it's like dancing on the trail.

I was gifted this bike from a friend who had upgraded to a FS. I had mentioned casually that it would make a great project to turn it into a SS, and lo and behold, one day I went to her office and there it was for me.

My Titus Racer-X mtb is named Artemis as well! However, I'm not fast...

    Your bike is very pretty!

    Beautiful bike, congratulations.

I must say, though, that the term "porn" is really offputting. Why not just say My New Seven? There are some other "porn" threads. I just find the term unnecessary.

    But again, nice bike.

Wow, Ti, disc brakes, fenders, lights...You'd think you lived in the PNW!

And it's the most AMAZING commuter bike I've ever seen (even if its not really a commuter!)! Beautiful!!

    Can I have it?

In fact she is my commuter, and I plan on moving back to the Seattle area within the next month or two -- I built her with the PNW in mind specifically! Also you can't tell, but the gearing is all towards towing trailers or climbing big hills, another northwest feature I'm planning ahead for .

    Sweet! Early (almost) welcome back!

After you get here, your titanium bike can meet my titanium bike. (Yeah, I bought one. I was foolish to think I could look at them, test ride them, and somehow resist adopting one of them. )

    Ah ha! Good move!

One day, when the paint chipping is beyond help on my TI bike, she might become my commuter. Until then, she's just too pretty to lock to a bike rack, so she stays in the garage until the weekend.
