    Talking Hilly Hundred Bound!!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Wooohooooo!!! I'm going to the Hilly again! I've got 452 total miles this year and 411 road miles so far. I know it's not likely that I'll finish it, but I'm going to have a good time and hopefully catch up with some aquaintances from a couple years ago. I'm volunteering in one of the elementary schools as sleeping bag patrol to take care of my registration etc it makes it worth just being able to go. I will probably be in the primary school since that's usually where I try to set my sleeping bag up in the first gym. It's only a couple weeks away and I'm really getting excited again!!!
I'll probably be wearing the jersey in my avatar Sunday, hope I see some of you there again.

My SO did it years back and still talks about it fondly (and sometimes not so fondly). Have fun!

How did I miss this? Only 5 hours away but I'm doing the MO Bikefed foliage ride. Next year I'm registering early and participating. Everyone have a great time and remember that we want details and pics!

Change your plans! It is a blast!

This year, Mary9761 will be there (she was having so much fun in '06 that her pics made it into '07 promotional videos), TrekJeni is bringing an even larger crowd, Indysteel may ride too.

    The tradition continues...

I'll offer my place, but a plumbing catastrophe last week has two bathrooms ripped to the studs..., so I don't know if it will be ready...

Yes, thanks for the link to those pics Mr. Silver. I'm definitely going next year. It will also be nice to meet everyone. Maybe I can get Fastdogs to come with me...

fastdogs is allergic to hills. Not to mention very, very slow on them. Especially rides with "hilly" in the name- that sounds very bad.

    Claudia:

We'll finally get to ride together! John and I are doing the foliage ride too! He and a few others from Rolla are doing the Century while the others of us are doing the 50 (60?) or whatever it is! COOL!

The Hilly Hundred sounds fun too! Geez...work really gets in the way of all the biking fun! Of course, it also feeds my bike habit!

My favorite quote as I passed someone at last year's Hilly:

I'm getting so excited about being able to go this year. I'll be volunteering in one of the sleeping bag areas this year. I usually try to set my bag up in the primary school's first area set up. I'm hoping to be in that building again.

Here are the video slide shows I did from 2005 and 2006. Enjoy. I look forward to seeing as many of you all as possible. I'm going to dress up on day one again LOL...
