I know this is not a celeb-crazy group but I really liked Paul Newman. Married to his wife for ages, lots of charity to work and just because he was old enough to be my Grandpa, doesn't mean he wasn't handsome! Sad loss, granted it was a long life lived.

I was sad too. I turned my computer on this morning, and it was on my homepage. He was such a great man. He lead a very interesting life, for sure.

I knew he had cancer but I was still surprised to have that hit me in the face first thing in the morning.
At first I was sad then I thought, 'hey, he had a pretty full life'.
    Still, a great loss.

The world definitely lost a great man in so many ways yesterday (he died Friday, is my understanding). Prayers to his wife who is also a class act, Joanne Woodward. He was truly one of the greats.

Definitely a class act for sure. I bought one of his chocolate bars in his honor today.

I just ate some Paul Newman popcorn last night while watching the presidential debate. What a wonderful person. He will be missed.

Last night while looking for some treats for Chloe I glanced at his dog treats and wondered how he was doing. I knew he had been quite ill and that there had been speculation that he was declining, it was still sad to hear the news this morning.

I didn't even realize he had passed. That is very sad, and the world is a little lonlier without him around. He was a good man, in so many ways.
And yeah, I thought he was quite handsome too, although his looks were only one of the reasons he was an attractive man.

One of the rare celebs that use their fame and fortunes for so much good. He will definitely be missed - -hopefully the young "stars" will learn something from his example of what being a "star" really means.

I remember seeing him for the first time in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - he was a class act and will be greatly missed. The younger stars could really learn from his example - he was a caring man and a great star that never let his celebrity go to his head. I read where he and his pal Robert Redford were planning to do one more movie together, but Paul’s health had declined too much. I knew he was seriously ill, but it was still sad to hear of his passing.

I have the following quote on my fridge. It was said by Joanne Woodward, Paul Newman's wife.

"Sexiness wears thin after a while and beauty fades, but to be married to a man who makes you laugh every day, ah, now that's a real treat."

I haven't seen many of his movies but am impressed by his charity work and being so "un-Hollywood".
