I wouldn't say it hurts. It's uncomfortable holding still for an extended period of time. It feels like something is scratching you extensively.

Wow- very cool (and very painful looking). I like your design. It's very classy and pretty.

I still lust after an IM tattoo, but haven't pulled the trigger yet. It's been 2 years since my IM, and I'm still on the fence.

For me, some of it was pretty darn painful. Mostly the lower part of the flower as that area was sensitive. The outline hurt more than the coloring. For me, on a pain scale of 1-10, I would give it a 8.

But that's just me. My friend got one done around her ankle and didn't flinch once. Nor did she say that it hurt.

If it's a large tat that you want, the pain will be tolerable. It will end.

TriGirl, if you are still on the fence after 2 years, it might not be for you... Which is cool. I already have another tat on my back, so it's not like something new for me. But I can't imagine why I could ever get another tattoo in my lifetime. I'm really picky about where I do and do not want one. I like being able to cover it easily.

Beautiful! Very subtle for the IM logo part but definitely can tell it is there, I like it!

I would say it does hurt but not excrutiating. It is more annoying like you want to slap the artist because it is constant tiny prick. Reminds me of the stick with a straight pin only it is done hundreds of times over for about an hour or more! The one on my ankle that crossed bone didn't hurt. The one on my hip with more soft tissue, okay fat, hurt like heck but still tolerable.

Very nice. But OUCH! You all are a lot braver than moi! I am sure I will be the last person on Earth with a non-tatooed body!

Nope, I'll be three with ya, Smilie!

I have a fascination for them, and love to look at others', but I will never get one. I'm too fickle.

That's beautiful... and yes you earned it (I bet getting the tat was not as painful as earning the right to it! )

    Who designed it?

HA! I honestly think the IM hurt less.

I had a picture in my head of what I wanted. I tried to give the tattoo artist creative reign, but he kept producing stuff I didn't like. I finally pointed to a picture in his album and said "take out the middle and put a M-Dot in there". THEN he got it right.
