Can you get someone to take a picture of you on your bike so we can see these in action?

do they have an on/off switch?......I went to their website (tnx Denise) and read the specs but didn't see anything about turning them on or off! As a commuter, this would be well worth the investment. Plus *insert evil cackle here* just Imagine the message I could program into them!!!!!![]()
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"
DH picked up some of these at Interbike years ago. I thought they were pretty darn cool. His just glowed red, no messages. I don't know if he got an early prototype, if they were basic models they gave as swag, or if his technophobia kept him from programming them.
Corsair, they turn on and off by themselves!! Some special magnetic process that I am sure I would understand if I took the time to learn about it.
Ask Veronica... at least I think it was Veronica that has them.![]()
no regrets!

Hmm, maybe I missed something. DH's would only come on when the wheel was spinning, but maybe they switched off for daytime use. Or were another type, altogether.

Each spoke talks to the other through an IR sensor. Sometimes mine would come on in the middle of class. We think the tv or VCR remote was triggering them.
I took mine off this year because I had one that would not stay lit - even with brand new batteries. They don't look as good with only 2 and getting them on with their with the weight evenly distributed can be a pain.
Eventually we'll look at the one that is not working right and see if we can figure out what's going on. They are kind of filmsy and I do put on a lot of miles. They may not be up to the long haul. I know they made me more visible. People would stop what they were doing and watch me go by. Kids also said something.

Those LOOK really cool!
They would be even better if they were sturdier... and lasted a long time.
Would certainly get you seen from the side when riding at night!
Sorry I haven't been around. Work really has me pounded. :/Originally Posted by KSH

Veronica, thanks for the link btw.I picked up 3 and have them around my front wheel since that's what will get noticed first as I cross an intersection. Plus, if need be, I can steal one of my hubby's spare front wheels if I want to make the bike a little lighter.
