My Elite Win and My Upgrade!

    To disable ads, please log-in.

This past weekend, I had my first "Elite" race win! It was a Cat 1/2/3 field, although it was a small one. Most of the women in my area were out at a stage race, but a few of the big hitters showed up for the crit that we had designated as a team event. My Cat 4 teammates RIPPED it up, taking 2nd (yeah, AllezGirl!!!) and 4th!

I just submitted my upgrade request to USA Cycling. In a few days, I hope to get a little envelope in the mail with my Cat 2 sticker!

Now, I have to start racing against the BIG gals! We'll see if I can't reach my goal of racing in the Liberty Classic next year!

Congrats! I am putting in my upgrade request today... Not sure I am ready for any NRC racing, but it sounds cool to me to say I'm a Cat 2 racer .

Nice job on the win, too! And remember, a win is a win, regardless of who does/does not show up!

Thanks, All! it's been quite a season! I started off so bad - feeling like I was getting my butt whomped on a weekly basis. But, the last month and a half, I have been feeling so good and racing well. I don't know what next year has in store, but I can't wait!

SheFly - congrats on your upgrade, also! The big girls better watch out...the TE-ers are coming up!

    Well done you, NJ
This is something I would have loved to have done.

Looking forward to following your progress

Nice job! Congrats on the race and the upgrade!

NRC races aren't that bad- just imagine the fastest woman you've ever raced against... then imagine a field of about 50 of her
